Was happy with service and the tech
arrived for a no heat call on a Furnace 26 years old. Inducer motor is shaking slightly and making vibrations noises- inducer motor is also OVERAMPING- this is a tell tale sign that INDUCER MOTOR is going to fail Blower motor slightly off balanced as well, causing vibration noises customer commented on how dirty the furnace is, I agree, blower wheel is very dirty as well. Conclusion, inducer motor is over amping and making louder than normal noises- it may grind from time to time like customer described, inducer motor soon to fail. Also, furnace needs a deep cleaning, but cleaning that old blower motor may actually throw it off balance and cause more issues. Obviously I recommend replacing before inducer motor fails completely. With the break in weather. New furnace install would be $1999.00
Upon arrival I found the system not operational at all. After further diagnostic discovered that the transformer and relay are burned up. There is a low voltage short somewhere throughout system that has taken both relay and transformer out. Highly recommend system replacement due to age and cost of repairs. Providing landlord with repair vs replacement options, he will review and get back with us. System not operational at departure. American Standard
I completed the scheduled maintenance agreement heating tune up on a Five Star electric furnace. I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. Completed combustion analysis. Cycled and monitored system. Operating normally at this time.
I completed a Half Install of a Five Star 80% Gas Furnace FSGMES80/FSGCES80 (Up to 100,000 BTU) Price includes removal of old equipment, complete install of new furnace and thermostat (including necessary venting, electrical gas connections, duct adjustments) and tax.
Upon arrival I found the furnace not doing anything. The sump pump breaker off at arrival. I turned on and furnace came on immediately. May of just been coincidence, because furnace has its own breaker. the furnace 25 years old but working. Bottom door was not all the way on, but zip tie was in door switch from last service call. The system is operational upon departure. Armstrong
