I completed diagnostics and found the defrost board at outdoor unit receiving 24v at Y and the high and low switch closed. The board is not sending out 24v to contactor. I pulled the common at terminal strip then re seated common wire- (almost as to reset board)and the unit comes on. the refrigerant levels are good. No problems there and the filter was recently replaced. The system is operational upon departure. Not a fan of Lennox for this re occurring issue.
I completed a Full Install of a Carrier Electric Furnace FX4D (Up to 100,000 BTU) Honeywell T10 Programmable Thermostat Carrier 14 SEER Heat Pump 25HCE4 (Up to 3 ton); The system is operational upon departure.
I completed the spring tune up on a Concord air conditioner. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I removed a Janitrol Electric furnace and Goodman heat pump. I installed a Five Star Multi-Speed 3.5 Ton Electric Furnace / "A" Coil and a Carrier 14 SEER 3 Ton Heat Pump. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement.
I returned to the customer's home to diagnose a gas furnace issue. I found that the unit had been installed incorrectly and recommended to the customer to have it re installed.
Upon inspection, I found the filter was extremely dirty and the motor surge capacitor needed replaced. I removed the filter and informed the customer. Customer approved replacement of capacitor. I replaced and cycled system. System is operational upon departure.
I provided an estimate for a customer to consider. Will wait to hear from customer on how to proceed.
